Spectral Layers Pro is Steinberg's flagship when it comes to AI Soundproofing and in this test I have used the latest available version of the software which is 10.0.30.334 dated 27 Sept 2023. I have used the latest available VIP-trained AI models to which I have exclusive access. I compare the results of separation of 1. Vowel, 2. Drums and 3. Instrumental without chorus, (this because Spectral Layers does not have an easy way to separate 1st voice and possibly 2nd voice and chorus.) Listen and judge for yourself:
Vowel
Notice Steinberg's "thin" and flimsy sound on the vocals. And all artefacts then!. You hear there is much more fullness and definition on AI-Lyd's track and reverb is taken care of.
Drums
Steinberg kills the gated-reverb effect that is on sharp spaces and toms.

Conclusion
Steinberg with his latest version of Spectral Layers Pro has come a long way towards delivering the ultimate solution for AI audio separation, but currently falls short of it Python-based the script with VIP trained AI models I use. What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment!
